Product Engineer

Status: Full Time

Team/Role: Product Engineering and Support


Requirement:

  • Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or Aerospace Engineering or its equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of MRO experience in an aviation environment is an advantage
  • Able to read technical materials, develop analysis and make recommendations
  • Familiarity with processes such as TIG Welding, Plasma Spray, Heat Treatment, Machining, Shot Peening, Welding Technology or Diffusion bonding/coating, Non-Destructive Test: RT (Digital Radiography) or Penetrant Testing (PT) or Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) and Measurement System Analysis (MSA) methodology
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, quality management and continuous improvement
  • Initiative, analytical and able to manage multiple tasks
 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for engineering aspects of any related repair component within the product portfolio and support to New Product Introduction (NPI) programs
  • Update and implement repair scopes into ASSB existing repair capability
  • Prepare written instructions and procedures for the individual repairs and publish for production use
  • Develop and compile repair documentation according to approved engineering data
  • Optimize existing repair procedures to improve in-process rejection and rework
  • Evaluate and to update applicable changes from revised OEM Manual and to incorporate it into the internal ASSB work instructions e.g. Process Instructions, Special Instructions, etc
  • Conduct and oversee First Article Inspections (FAI)
  • Support production in investigating customer complaints to identify the root causes and implement effective corrective actions
  • Provide technical support to production in resolving repair related issues particularly duing FAI, NPI phases and ramp-up periods
  • Communicate with OEM on all engineering topics, vendors with regards to any engineering task or component repair, shareholders and respective Engineers

NDT Inspector

Status: Full Time/Permenant

Team/Role: Production


Requirement:

  • Minimum Certificate in NDT, Aircraft Maintenance Technology, Mechanical, Quality Assurance, Inspection or related field 
  • At least 2 years working experience in NDT field or its equivalent
  • Experience in aircraft parts inspection and possess NDT Level 2 (PT, UT, RT, ET), will be an added advantage 
  • Good communication skills in both English and Bahasa Melayu (spoken and written)

Responsibilities:

  • Perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) on aircraft parts (engine components) within the scope of authorized qualification coverage in accordance with approved manuals, procedures, specifications, and quality standards
  • Operate NDT equipment (e.g., PT, MT, UT or other applicable methods) and ensure proper handling of tools and test materials
  • Interpret and evaluate test results to identify defects or discontinuities in accordance with acceptance criteria
  • Complete NDT reports and related documentation accurately and in a timely manner 
  • Comply and support Enviremntmenal Health & Safety policies, rules and regulations

Process Engineer

Status: Full Time/Permenant

Team/Role: Process Engineering


Requirement:

  • Degree in Aerospace/Material Science/Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or its equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of working experience as a Process Engineer or Mechanical Engineer
  • Working experience in Maintenance Repair and Overhaul within an aviation environment is an added advantage
  • Able to read technical material, develop analysis and make recommendations
  • Good knowledge and experience in one or more of the following processes preferred: TIG Welding, Plasma Spray, Heat Treatment, Machining, Shot Peening, Welding Technology or Diffusion bonding/coating
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement, quality management and lean principles
  • Familiarity with PFMEA and Control Plan is an added advantage
  • Initiative, analytical and motivated
  • Able to work independently and prioritize workload to meet project timelines in a fast paced environment
 

Responsibilities:

 
  • Responsible for process engineering aspects of any related repair component within the product portfolio and support to New Product Introduction (NPI) programs
  • Introduce and implement new repair processes into the production lines 
  • Create and support Technical Work Instruction (TWI) and other related technical documents
  • Perform and supervise commissioning and acceptance of equipment and machinery 
  • Develop detailed process procedures and/or compile the documentation for the individual repair process and efficiently implement the processes
  • Optimize existing repair procedures to improve in-process rejection and rework
  • Support, perform (if required) and supervise First Article Inspections (FAI) activities
  • Evaluate and to update applicable changes from revised Original Engine Manufacturer (OEM) Manual and to incorporate it into internal work instruction e.g. Process Instructions, etc
  • Support Production in improving the effectiveness of production lines with regards to processes in identifying the root cause and provide its solutions to the problems
  • Liaise with Maintenance and Product Engineering team to develop and modify tools as and when necessary to improve a specific process
  • Carry out a continuous improvement to the effectiveness of processes with regards to consumable materials
  • Communicate with OEM on all engineering topics, vendors with regards to any engineering task or component repair, shareholders and respective Engineers

Production Gate Leader

Status: Full Time

Team/Role: Production


Requirement:

  • Minimum certificate holder in any discipline
  • Minimum 4 years working experience in aviation field
  • Good in supervisory skills with leadership management
  • Self motivated and possessing good working attitude
  • Good knowledge in the work station Process / Work Instruction & documentations
  • Intermediate awareness and understanding of Aviation Regulation, Maintenance Repair & Overhaul Regulatory, Maintenance Policy Manual, Engine Manual Requirement ASSB Company approval
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written in English and Bahasa Melayu
  • Good computer skills especially in Microsoft Office i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point, etc

Responsibilities:

 
  • Arrange work orders based on production system requirement.
  • Arrange resources/manpower to meet target output in the responsible gate.
  • Ensure all work carried out by subordinates is accordance to repair documents.
  • Supervise all carried out work according to all applicable regulations.
  • Deliver safely the outputs expected from the responsible gate.
  • Take appropriate action to any work incompliance observed and any disciplinary issue.
  • Lead in technical know-how and feedbacks to various departments on processes in the responsible gate.
  • Deliver and leading continuous improvement and lean principle, 5S, TPM and related subjects in the production.
  • Support the direct relationships in the responsible gate.
  • Ensure machines total productive maintenance in the responsible gate.
  • Ensure tooling and fixtures are in good working conditions and compliance to regulations in the responsible gate.
  • Prepare Production report including KPI and other related reports
  • Perform non routine task upon request by Section Manager or Production Manager.

Quality Assurance Executive (QMS)

Status: Full Time

Team/Role: QA Department


Requirement:

  • Minimum Degree or equivalent in aviation related field
  • Minimum 3 years working experience in similar or other industries
  • Experience with Part 145 Maintenance Organization Regulatory Requirement is preferred
  • Familiar with ISO 9001 or AS9110 quality management system
  • Preferably attended internal quality audit course and/or lead auditor course is an added advantage
  • Knowledge of Quality Tools such as Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) is an added advantage
  • Good technical report writing skills
  • Good problem solving and decision making skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and able to work cohesively with other stakeholders
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written in English and Bahasa Melayu

Responsibilities:

Main Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Quality System/Technical Documentation Control/Product Quality related tasks.
  • Quality System related tasks consist of Internal Audit Compliance, Safety Management System, Maintenance of Documentation & Procedure, Company Authorization, Aviation Authority Regulatory Compliance & Customers Liaison and Vendor Management
  • Technical Documentation related tasks include Administration Control of OEM Data & Access, Airworthiness Directive Updates, Quality Records (Regulatory/Company), Control of Standards and Control of Technical Publications (VRS, TO, Others)
  • Product oriented related tasks includes Customer Complaint Management, Technical Investigation, Inspection oversight (Certifying Staff and Inspectors) (including Certifying Staff/Inspector Technical Training Requirements) and Implementation of Product Quality Requirements

 General Functions

  • Performs Quality Assurance duties and functions of quality system/technical documentation control/product quality as outlined in sections below.
  • Perform any task as required by Quality Assurance Manager or any other person designated by him or her

Specific Functions

Quality Management Systems (QMS)

  • Perform quality oversight per planned and ad-hoc internal audit, spot check and report non­compliances and deviations
  • Assist QA Section Manager to coordinate and perform audit activities per regulatory authorities and ASSB’s customer requirement
  • Assist Section Manager to maintain Company Quality System and ensure all maintenance approvals held by ASSB is valid at all time
  • Monitor the completion of CARs and provides follow-up check to monitor compliance with recommended remedial action
  • Generate/ evaluate root cause analysis, corrective/ preventive actions
  • Ensure Company’s MPM, QAR and Forms Manual are updated as per requirement
  • Quality monitoring and performing on-site audit to supplier and sub-contractor
  • Conduct Company Authorization Examinations and regulatory trainings to employees
  • Assist Product Quality as of when necessary
  • Prepare monthly, weekly as well as technical investigation reports

Technical Documentation Control

  • Maintain an effective and efficient administrative system for the control of documents and maintenance records
  • Notify QAM, EM and engineers of receipt of new documents and revision of OEM Manuals (raise evaluation form)
  • Upkeep and maintenance of Quality System Manual and Procedure
  • Liaise closely with Line Controllers for the timely transfer of Routing Cards and ARCs to the Document Control Center

CMM Program Engineer

Status: Full Time

Team/Role: Zero Defects


Requirement:

  •  Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering or its equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years working experience in CMM programming or tooling design & fabrication or process engineering. Knowledge and practical experience in CMM programming and Measurement in Mituitoyo and/or Zeiss systems
  • Experience with CMM programming software such as Mcosmos, PC-DMIS, Calypso, etc
  • Knowledge in 3D modelling CAD design, manufacturing and machining process of jigs & fixtures (CAD/CAM)
  • Knowledge in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) and Management System Analysis (MSA)
  • Good knowledge of Minitab and Autocad software

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain CMM programs for production, FAI, R&D and other applications.
  • Assist in creating accurate and repeatable CMM programs based on end-user’s requirements
  • Assist in validating CMM programs by conducting First Article Inspection (FAI) or applicable MSA studies and adjust the program as necessary to ensure accuracy
  • Upkeep and maintain currency of production used CMM program
  • Troubleshoot and resolve all technical issues relating to the machine and be the focal point representing ASSB to liaise with the vendor for all matters relating to the CMM
  • Prioritize and utilize of all production CMMs to cater for the various needs (measurement of “live” parts, program development for FAI, KVP and R&D activities initiated by Engineering)
  • Support Metrology Laboratory in CMM Programming, if required
  • Comply with and support Environmental, Health & Safety policies, rules and regulations at all times
  • Other tasks as assigned

Advance Lean Process Control Engineer

Status: Full Time

Team/Role: Value Stream Enablement


Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in industrial, Mechanical, Process Engineering, Statistics or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in a manufacturing environment, continuous improvement, industrial engineering or process transformation
  • Experience in aviation industry is an added advantage
  • Lean Six-Sigma Green Belt certification and practice or equivalent
  • Knowledge and experience in implementation of Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA), Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Control Plan (CP)
  • Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Design of Experiment (DOE) is an added advantage
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills
  • Good communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills
  • Able to work independently and a good team player

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organization using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Analyze current processes to identify improvement opportunities, enhance operational efficiency, improve quality and reduce waste
  • Lead and support process improvement projects to optimize process stability and operational performance
  • Implement and promote Lean tools and techniques including SPC, FMEA, Poka Yoke and Kaizen
  • Conduct process analysis and risk assessments to improve process reliability and product quality
  • Develop and deliver training to promote a culture of continuous improvement across the organization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement sustainable process improvements

Line Controller

Status: Full Time

Team/Role: Production


Requirement:

  • Minimum Degree holder in Supply Chain management or any relevant discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in an aviation MRO (Maintenance Repair Overhaul) is an added advantage
  • Experience in repair process and production planning
  • Experience in simulation software (FlexSim or equivalence) is an added advantage
  • Good in Production Scheduling System/Software i.e. SAP, ERP, IDV etc
  • Good team player who is able to work cohesively with all level of working team and cross-functional team.
  • Good in analytical and problem-solving abilities to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions
  • Willing to learn, accept new ideas and implement changes independently
  • Good communication and written skills in English and Bahasa Melayu
  • Good in computer skills especially with Microsoft Office i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Production Planning: Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer delivery deadline. Scheduling purchase orders (POs) according to production capacity, monitor and adjust schedules as needed to meet product delivery deadlines.
  • Performance Simulation: Use simulation software to simulate Production capacity and expected performance for abnormality situation i.e Machine breakdown, received qty over the capacity, shortage of consumable etc .
  • Performance Monitoring: Track PO progress, TAT and OTD performance, communicate with the cluster leader to keep track of the progress of the PO in the production line. Close communication with Customer Support on PO progress.
  • Resource Planning: Advice the production team on resource planning.
  • Data Analysis and reporting: Provide a comprehensive report of production performance (daily, weekly, and monthly) and conducting data analysis when required.
  • Compliance and Documentation:  Ensure compliance with company procedures, including environmental health and safety policies, rules, and regulations at all times.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to the team towards meeting the departmental goal. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth production planning activity.
