Principal Engineer (Managerial Position)

Status: Full Time

Team/Role: Engineering


Requirement:

  • Minimum Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering
  • At least 8 years of experience in MRO industry with extensive knowledge in repair processes of gas turbine engine components
  • Good knowledge of special processes such as welding, coatings, surface treatments, machining, etc
  • Past experiences in dealing with OEMs on source demonstration processes, repair substantiation and process qualification
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and other language will be an added advantage
  • Good computer skills, especially in MS Office, i.e. Power Point, Words and Excel
  • Self-driven with strong analytical thinking skill

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, guide and coach direct reports
  • Ensure all engineering staff possess the necessary skills, are given appropriate training, are up to date on the latest repair methods, procedures, requirements and technolog
  • Develop new repairs for various engine OEMs
  • Consult and liaise with various authorities, OEMs and share holders, representing ASSB as the focal point and subject matter expert for all technical questions
  • Provide engineering guidelines for individual repair programs within the company maintenance program
  • Ensure all technical information, instructions and clarifications are authorized, controlled and provided to ASSB staff in a timely manner that meets company and regulatory requirements
  • Identify the need for new repairs on existing product capability to improve yield
  • Responsible to undertake the necessary corrective and preventive actions resulting from quality non-compliance monitoring and audit program
  • Comply and support Environmental Health & Safety policies and requirements at all times

Senior Quality Assurance Executive

Status: Full Time

Team/Role: QA Department


Requirement:

 

  • Minimum Degree or equivalent holder in aviation related field with 6 to 8 years working experience in similar or other industries
  • Good understanding of relevant regulatory requirements and ISO 9000 quality management system; well verse in quality auditing and shall be qualified as lead auditor within 2 years after joining the Company
  • Good technical report writing skills, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Experience in 8D Problem Solving is an added advantage
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication both verbal and written in English and Bahasa Melayu
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint

 

Responsibilities:

 

General Functions:

 

  • Performs quality assurance duties and functions of management system / product quality
  • Advice the Section Manager - QA and Senior QA Manager of any quality issues or product  risks encountered
  • Ensure compliance with the Company’s and external regulatory systems requirements
  • Comply and support Environmental Health & Safety policies, rules and regulations at all times
  • Perform any other task as required by ASSB’s Section Manager, Senior QA Manager or any person designated by him

 

Specific Functions:

 

  • Perform investigations on customer complaints/ quality escape and generate/ evaluate root cause analysis, corrective / preventive actions
  • Monitor completion of CARs /SNCs /8D Reports and provides follow-up check to monitor compliance with recommended remedial action
  • Assist Section Manager – QA and Senior QA Manager to provide liaison, coordinate audit activities by regulatory authorities and ASSB’s customers
  • Provide quality oversight on ARC and inspection related activities
  • Perform audit and spot check and report non-compliances and deviations
  • Upkeep & strive towards department KPI’s and Company Goals
  • Assist Section Manager - QA and Senior QA Manager in technical documents review
  • Develop / write procedures, including technical investigation reports
  • Review and ensure completion of First Article Inspection for new repair implementation
  • Monitor the compliance of the calibration schedule
  • Identify opportunities for quality system and quality process improvements to improve the quality of the end product
  • Conduct Company Approval Examinations and provide training on subjects related to his/her responsibilities as the needs arise

 

 

Section Manager - Inspection Clusters

Status: Full Time

Team/Role: Production


Requirement:

  • Degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years of working experience in a related field with 3 years in a managerial position
  • Excellent experience with characterization and analysis of defects
  • Detailed knowledge of manufacturing planning, safety, quality control, and budgeting combined with good business acumen
  • Good understanding of the airfoil repair process is an added advantage
  • Experience in shopfloor management is an added advantage
  • Advance knowledge and understanding of Aviation Regulation, Maintenance Repair & Overhaul Regulatory, Maintenance Policy Manual, MPM/ QAR
  • Good team player with excellent leadership skills

Responsibilities:

Accounts Executive

Status: Full Time

Team/Role: Finance


Requirement:

  • Minimum Degree in Accounting
  • Minimum 6 years experience in Accounting field
  • Able to handle full set of accounts, daily accounting and administration operation
  • Must be proficient in any high-end computerized accounting system and is strong in excel spreadsheets
  • Good knowledge of reconciliation processes and has ability to process large amounts of data with a high degree of accuracy
  • Meticulous, analytical, good problem solving skills and able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of tax and compliance

Responsibilities:

  • Handling full set of accounts
  • Prepare monthly financial, management reports and cost accounting reports

Reliability Engineer

Requirement:

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Reliability team day to day activities and specific task
  • Critical spares management and developing new technique of repair and maintenance for all equipmen
  • Direct involvement in project management in terms of planning, scheduling, executing and commissioning
  • In charge of analyzing equipment failure with produce details of the root cause, propose corrective actions
  • Update equipment breakdown report and set up a system to monitor, analyze and improve equipment reliability
  • Produce and analyze critical equipment top 10 failures chart
  • Generate maintenance performance reports and department KPI’s i.e. OEE, MTTR, MTBF, Uptime, etc
  • Review all Preventive Maintenance (PM) / Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) to ensure effectiveness and enhance PM to eliminate failures
  • Review current PM/TPM backlog and analyze equipment risk due to the backlogs
  • Propose actions to ensure no repetitive failures and all the critical equipment faults are identified in an efficient and expedient manner
  • Develop the troubleshooting process to ensure quality, safety to operators and high productivity of the equipment
  • Maintenance of all critical equipment is conducted as a result of rigorous maintenance plans being in place
  • Ensure machine operates to the “Should” conditions
  • Lead the maintenance plan development projects for specific equipment using a systematic approach

Facility Project Executive

Requirement:

  • Minimum Degree in Industrial Engineering/Manufacturing with minimum of 4 years working experience in a related field or equivalent

Product Engineer

Status: Full Time

Team/Role: Product Engineering and Support


Requirement:

  • Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Material/Aerospace Engineering or its equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years working experience in an overhaul and/or repair (aviation) environment is an added advantage
  • Able to read technical material, develop analysis and make recommendations
  • Good knowledge and experience in one or more of the following processes preferred: TIG Welding, Plasma Spray, Heat Treatment, CNC Machining, Shot Peening
  • Initiated, analytical and motivated
  • Able to work independently and prioritize workload to meet project timelines in a fast paced environment
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement, quality and lean principles
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Melayu

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for engineering aspects to the assigned product group or repair process
  • Update and implement repair scope into ASSB existing repair capability
  • Prepare instructions and procedures for the individual repairs and publish for production use
  • Develop detailed instructions and process procedures for the individual repairs
  • Develop and compile repair or process documentation according to the approved engineering data
  • Optimize existing repair procedures to facilitate the production flow in order to meet the production’s Turn Around Time (TAT) & On Time Delivery (OTD)
  • Evaluate and update applicable changes from revised OEM Manual and to incorporate it into the internal ASSB works instructions e.g. Process Instructions, Special Instructions, etc
  • Perform and supervise First Article Inspections (FAI)
  • Support production to overcome problems during its FAI and NPI ramp-up period
  • Support production in identifying the root cause and its solution to customer complaints
  • Complies and support Environmental Health & Safety policies, rules and regulation at all times

Procurement Executive

Requirement:

  • Minimum Degree in Business Studies/ Supply Chain/ Engineering or other equivalent fields
  • Minimum 6 years of working experience in related field
  • Additional background or exposure or past qualification in the technical field will be an added advantage
  • Working practice in supply chain management and supplier relationship management

  • Responsible for direct purchasing and overall inventory planning and control of the Company
  • Ensure inventory and raw material required in the production line are planned systematically using established inventory management methods (including demand forecasting, Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), reorder point & quantity, safety stock, etc.)
  • Responsible for indirect purchasing for the assigned functional areas – planning and purchasing materials, parts, equipment and services in a timely and cost effective manner while maintaining appropriate quality standards and specifications. The indirect purchases include investment of goods and capital equipmen
  • Champion category management approach – analysis of current position, strategy development, strategy selection and strategy implementation
  • Maintain, update and assure compliance with approved supplier list

 

Trainee Mechanic ( ITC)

Status: Contract

Team/Role: Production


Requirement:

  • Minimum Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)/ Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM)/ Majlis Latihan Vokasional Kebangsaan (MLVK)
  • Welding Technology/ Quality Assurance/ Manufacturing Technology/ Mechanical/ Mechatronic certificate is an added advantage
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written English
  • Able to work on shift, weekends and public holiday
  • Fresh school leavers aged 18 and above are encouraged to apply
