Principal Engineer (Managerial Position)

Status: Full Time

Team/Role: Engineering


Requirement:

  • Minimum Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering
  • At least 8 years of experience in MRO industry with extensive knowledge in repair processes of gas turbine engine components
  • Good knowledge of special processes such as welding, coatings, surface treatments, machining, etc
  • Past experiences in dealing with OEMs on source demonstration processes, repair substantiation and process qualification
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and other language will be an added advantage
  • Good computer skills, especially in MS Office, i.e. Power Point, Words and Excel
  • Self-driven with strong analytical thinking skill

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, guide and coach direct reports
  • Ensure all engineering staff possess the necessary skills, are given appropriate training, are up to date on the latest repair methods, procedures, requirements and technolog
  • Develop new repairs for various engine OEMs
  • Consult and liaise with various authorities, OEMs and share holders, representing ASSB as the focal point and subject matter expert for all technical questions
  • Provide engineering guidelines for individual repair programs within the company maintenance program
  • Ensure all technical information, instructions and clarifications are authorized, controlled and provided to ASSB staff in a timely manner that meets company and regulatory requirements
  • Identify the need for new repairs on existing product capability to improve yield
  • Responsible to undertake the necessary corrective and preventive actions resulting from quality non-compliance monitoring and audit program
  • Comply and support Environmental Health & Safety policies and requirements at all times

Section Manager - Process Engineering & Support

Status: Full Time

Team/Role: Engineering


Requirement:

  • Degree in Aerospace/ Material Science/Mechanical/ Manufacturing Engineering or its equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years working experience in a leadership role
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in aviation MRO industry, preferably engine components repair is an added advantage
  • Interpret technical documents, Engine Manuals, Standard Practice Manual, perform analysis and provide recommendations
  • Good knowledge and experienced in one or more of the following special processes: TIG / Plasma Arc Welding, Plasma Spray, Diffusion Coatings, Heat Treatment, CNC Machining, Shot / Ceramic Peening
  • Some knowledge of continuous improvement, quality system and lean principles
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Melayu
  • Self-driven, highly motivated, strong analytical thinking skill

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise engineers under his/ her section. This typically includes training to ensure that personnel are updated with latest methods, procedures and requirements; work allocation and problem resolution, as well as participating in decisions for hiring and performance evaluation
  • Develop and implement new repair processes as per plan
  • Carry out continuous process improvement to improve quality, yield, cycle time and costs reduction
  • Check all engineering documentations released to the shop for accurate technical content, standardization of engineering documents and ensures that engineering documents are in accordance to approved technical data
  • Perform First Article Inspections (FAI), as required
  • Provide support to Production in improving effectiveness of production lines with regards to processes
  • Liaise with technical team to develop and modify tools as and when necessary to improve specific process
  • Conduct research on new technologies that will enable the company to be market leaders in the industry

Training Executive

Status: Full Time

Requirement:

  • Minimum Degree in any discipline
  • At least 2 years working experience in similar capacity

  • Good working knowledge of aviation MRO and the latest development especially airfoil repair and training execution
  • Fast learner, positive and flexible in learning new topics to deliver training confidently

Responsibilities:

  1. Training Course and Program Development & Introduction
  • Lead projects at company level with focus on staff development, cost efficiency, and training quality
  • Provide training related inputs to staff and evaluating best approach for new training course / program apart from improvement to existing course / program
  • Lead in cross functional team to execute new course related to staff development
  • Organize and document training proposal including training provider comparison, competency gap analysis, and responsible for course evaluation
      B.  Product and Process Mastership
  • Achieve and maintain required technical standards in product and processes for all engine type as support to technical course / program development
  • Provide training and coaching based on company training needs with multi-level of target group  
      C.  Improve Training Operation Reliability
  • Accountable for reliability improvement in training coordination and organization
  • Lead continuous improvement projects in the section
  • Responsible for training work instruction in coordination and organization
  • Update, maintain and ensure all training programmes attended are being recorded in accordance to the Quality Management System (QMS) standard
  • Overseeing staff certification’s validity period especially for Eye-Test requirement to ensure staff work competency is valid and maintained prior to the expired date
  • Assist in the ITC and internship students’ recruitment processes including from the initial sourcing to the final selection
  • Manage and maintain the up-keep of training syllabus as per needs and requirement

Maintenance Executive (Inventory Management)

Status: Full Time

Team/Role: Technical Support


Requirement:

  • Diploma holder with minimum of 3 years working experience in a related field, if applicable
  • Good planning, analytical, store management and contractor management skills are required
  • Strong supervisory, organizational, and time management skills
  • Strong leadership with the ability to interact at all levels
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Meticulous, diligent and possessing good working attitude

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the Inventory Management of the Maintenance Department
  • Receive delivered supplies, materials, and equipment within the timeline of delivery as specified in the Purchase Order
  • Conduct weekly cycle count of inventory based on re-order listing; assist in conducting complete physical inventory count quarterly  
  • Organize and maintain warehouse and inventory areas for efficient material storage and handling including labeling system on each stock item; manually stocks inventory shelving with stock items received or returned
  • Re-stock on low inventory items to desired stock level by issuing Purchase Request for all equipment spare parts
  • Responsible for planning spare levels to ensure parts availability for stable production
  • Responsible to define an efficient inventory system that provides adequate spares support for the maintenance of the facilities and equipments
  • Establish maintenance vendors/contractors list and liaise with contractors for machine repair/maintenance and other building maintenance works
  • Monitor performance of supplier/contractor through feedback from team members in relation to their performance, and conduct performance review
  • Maintain professional and tactful business relationship with vendors/contractors/suppliers in accordance to the Company compliance management
  • Monitor repair and maintenance expenditure for all machine centers as compared to budgeted figures
  • Ensure all company rules, guidelines, system, policies and standards covering administrative procedures, safety and health regulations, quality and management standards (EHS, ISO, OHSAS), work practices and all applicable matters are maintained and followed at all times

Requirement:

  • Minimum Degree in Business Studies/ Supply Chain/ Engineering or other equivalent fields

  • Additional background or exposure or past qualification in the technical field will be an added advantage

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for direct purchasing and overall inventory planning and control of the Company
  • Ensure inventory and raw material required in the production line are planned systematically using established inventory management methods (including demand forecasting, Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), reorder point & quantity, safety stock, etc.)
  • Responsible for indirect purchasing for the assigned functional areas – planning and purchasing materials, parts, equipment and services in a timely and cost effective manner while maintaining appropriate quality standards and specifications. The indirect purchases include investment of goods and capital equipmen
  • Champion category management approach – analysis of current position, strategy development, strategy selection and strategy implementation

Product Engineer

Status: Full Time

Team/Role: Technical Support


Requirement:

  • Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Material/Aerospace Engineering or its equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years working experience in an overhaul and/or repair (aviation) environment is an added advantage
  • Able to read technical material, develop analysis and make recommendations
  • Good knowledge and experience in one or more of the following processes preferred: TIG Welding, Plasma Spray, Heat Treatment, CNC Machining, Shot Peening
  • Initiated, analytical and motivated
  • Able to work independently and prioritize workload to meet project timelines in a fast paced environment

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for engineering aspects to the assigned product group or repair process
  • Update and implement repair scope into ASSB existing repair capability
  • Prepare instructions and procedures for the individual repairs and publish for production use
  • Develop detailed instructions and process procedures for the individual repairs
  • Develop and compile repair or process documentation according to the approved engineering data
  • Optimize existing repair procedures to facilitate the production flow in order to meet the production’s Turn Around Time (TAT) & On Time Delivery (OTD)
  • Evaluate and update applicable changes from revised OEM Manual and to incorporate it into the internal ASSB works instructions e.g. Process Instructions, Special Instructions, etc
  • Perform and supervise First Article Inspections (FAI)
  • Support production to overcome problems during its FAI and NPI ramp-up period
  • Support production in identifying the root cause and its solution to customer complaints

Tooling Product Engineer

Status: Full Time

Team/Role: Technical Support


Requirement:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering or its equivalent
  • 3 years working experience in a similar capacity
  • Has experience with CAE software
  • Strong knowledge in CAD, GD&T, calibration and technical drawing management experience
  • Solid CMM, Reverse Engineering & Rapid Prototyping experience
  • Excellent knowledge in tooling design, fabrication, modification and acceptance
  • Familiar with Management System Analysis (MSA) requirements and application
  • Experience in tooling development and vendor management
  • Excellent knowledge of tool manufacturing and design
  • Able to modify tools and fixtures based on production requirements
  • Able to manage and control the Company’s tools and drawings
  • Knowledge and experience in 3D-CAD/CAM tool design of aero engine parts is an added advantage
  • Self-starter and able to work well in cross functional teams team environment

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with technical team to develop and/or modify tools to support product groups in engineering
  • Produce engineering drawings for tools in CAD or similar format
  • Develop and maintain tool drawings control procedures and record of tooling list
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers and procurement department in procuring the new tools and equipment
  • Ensure that toolings are within the timeline of delivery and its budget
  • Perform and supervise commissioning and acceptance of tools and equipment
  • Perform MSA and FAI as part of tooling acceptance
  • Perform tooling evaluations prior to release for production used
  • Carry out continuous improvement to production tools, including ways to standardize tools and equipment across various product types
  • Assign tool identification number (Part Number) for all tools
  • Extract the technical requirement and proposed technical solution to the team
  • Be a “Subject Matter Expert” to the Engineering and Production Teams on tooling issues

Industrial Engineer (CIP)

Requirement:

  • Degree holder with minimum of 2 years working experience in a related field, if applicable
  • Experienced and knowledgeable in LEAN methodology
  • Display proficiency in areas of responsibility and implement improvements
  • Able to make simple scheduling & execute plans accordingly and on time basis

Responsibilities:

  • Represent LEAN methodology in the Company and support Continuous Improvement / LEAN programs execution

  • Able to understand and follow working instruction/ manual written in English
  • Good communication skills and able to converse in English

  • Able to work in shift , weekend and/or public holiday
