Senior Quality Assurance Executive

Status: Full Time

Team/Role: QA Department


Requirement:

  • Minimum Degree in aviation business or its equivalent

Responsibilities:

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Oversee tasks related to Quality Management Systems (QMS) and product quality
  • Manage the QMS in line with the Company’s policies and objectives including:
    • Conduct quality compliance audits
    • Maintain the company’s approvals, authorization and accreditations
    • Document control and maintenance record keeping
    • Liaise with regulatory authorities and customers
    • Oversee vendor management and ensure compliance with all relevant technical documentation including OEM data, AD updates, quality records and technical publications
  • Manage Product Quality related tasks such as:
    • Handle customer complaints
    • Conduct technical investigation
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and Company goals
    • Oversee inspections including technical training and certification for inspectors to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal quality requirements
    • Regularly review internal technical instructions to ensure alignment with quality requirements

 

General Functions

  • Performs quality assurance duties related to the management system and product quality
  • Supervise and mentor QA Executives as necessary
  • Act as a key advisor to the QA Manager/Section Manager, promptly escalating any issues encountered
  • Comply and support Environmental Health & Safety policies, rules and regulations at all times
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by QA Manager/Section Manager

 

Specific Functions

Quality Management System

  • Perform periodic reviews of regulatory / customer requirement and implement required changes in company manuals and procedures to ensure compliance;
  • Maintain and upkeep Company’s Manual (Exposition), QAR and Forms Manual and recommend amendments to existing procedures to enhance the company’s quality standards;
  • Lead scheduled internal audits, identify non-compliances issues and support corrective actions through independent assessments;
  • Assist in coordinating audits with aviation authorities and customer representatives to ensure efficient and seamless audit processes;
  • Manage the company’s aviation authorities approval in ensuring new and existing approvals remains valid and up to date;
  • Perform monitoring and verification of the completion of Corrective Action Reports (CARs) and provide follow-up actions to ensure adherence to corrective and preventive measures
  • Prepare comprehensive quality reports and technical investigation documents
  • Administer the Company’s Authorization System; conduct examinations and provide training on relevant regulatory and quality assurance subjects as required
  • Oversee the Document Control Centre (DCC) ensuring that all documents are scanned, stored and retrievable according to established retention policies
  • Collaborate closely with Logistics team to ensure timely transfer of completed maintenance records to the DCC
  • Maintain an effective and efficient administrative system for the “House of Quality” and ensure proper control over documents and maintenance records
  • Notify QA Manager, Engineering Manager and Engineers upon receipt of new maintenance documents and revisions of OEM Manuals and ensure that supporting documents are processed accordingly (e.g. raise evaluation forms)

 

Customer Support Executive II

Status: Full Time

Requirement:

Process Engineer

Status: Full Time/Permenant

Team/Role: Process Engineering


Requirement:

  • Degree in Aerospace/Material Science/Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or its equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of working experience as a Process Engineer or Mechanical Engineer
  • Working experience in Maintenance Repair and Overhaul within an aviation environment is an added advantage
  • Able to read technical material, develop analysis and make recommendations
  • Good knowledge and experience in one or more of the following processes preferred: TIG Welding, Plasma Spray, Heat Treatment, Machining, Shot Peening, Welding Technology or Diffusion bonding/coating. Non-Destructive Test: RT (Digital Radiography) or Penetrant Testing (PT) or Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement, quality management and lean principles
  • Familiarity with PFMEA and Control Plan is an added advantage

Responsibilities:

 
  • Responsible for process engineering aspects of any related repair component within the product portfolio and support to New Product Introduction (NPI) programs
  • Introduce and implement new repair processes into the production lines of ASSB
  • Create and support Technical Work Instruction (TWI) and other related technical documents
  • Perform and supervise commissioning and acceptance of equipment and machinery for ASSB
  • Develop detailed process procedures and/or compile the documentation for the individual repair process and efficiently implement the processes
  • Optimize existing repair procedures to improve in-process rejection and rework
  • Support, perform (if required) and supervise First Article Inspections (FAI) activities
  • Evaluate and to update applicable changes from revised Original Engine Manufacturer (OEM) Manual and to incorporate it into internal ASSB work instruction e.g. Process Instructions, etc
  • Support Production in improving the effectiveness of production lines with regards to processes in identifying the root cause and provide its solutions to the problems
  • Liaise with Maintenance and Product Engineering team to develop and modify tools as and when necessary to improve a specific process
  • Carry out a continuous improvement to the effectiveness of processes with regards to consumable materials
  • Communicate with OEM on all engineering topics, vendors with regards to any engineering task or component repair, shareholders and respective Engineers

Information Security Management System Executive

Status: Full Time

Team/Role: QA Department


Requirement:

  • Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in similar capacity, Information Technology and Cybersecurity
  • Working experience in aviation maintenance industry is an added advantage
  • Relevant certifications e.g.ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, CISSP, CISM or its equivalent
  • Experience in implementing ISMS and security frameworks
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Design and implement an ISMS framework in accordance with recognized standards, e.g. ISO 27001
  • Establish security policies, procedures and guidelines, ensuring integration with aviation safety requirements, such as EASA Part-IS
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement control measures
  • Maintain ISMS documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Develop and deliver security awareness training programs for employees
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards, and prepare for audits

Quality Assurance Executive

Status: Full Time

  • Experience with Part 145 Maintenance Organization Regulatory Requirement is preferred
  • Familiar with ISO 9001 or AS9110 quality management system
  • Preferably attended internal quality audit course and/or lead auditor course is an added advantage
  • Knowledge of Quality Tools such as Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) is an added advantage

Responsibilities:

 Product Quality (PQ)

  • Provide quality oversight on Certifying Staff and Inspection related activities
  • Assist in Maintenance Data (PI, EI, SI, TWI and Routers) review
  • Perform audit, spot check and report non-compliances and deviations
  • Monitor completion of SNCs/ investigation reports and provides follow-up check to monitor compliance with recommended remedial action
  • Generate/ evaluate root cause analysis, corrective/ preventive actions
  • Identify opportunities for quality system and quality process improvements to improve the quality of the end-product
  • Evaluate and validate process validation protocols (such as FAI, NPI, Deviation Management, MMI, PCN, etc), reports, and results prepared by engineers to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements
  • Provide Expert Guidance: Act as a key resource in identifying gaps or inconsistencies in validation processes and recommend improvements to enhance quality outcomes
  • Evaluate MSA studies conducted by engineering teams to ensure measurement systems are accurate, precise, and capable of supporting quality objectives
  • Prepare monthly, weekly as well as technical investigation reports

Tooling Engineer

Status: Full Time

Team/Role: Value Stream Enablement.


Requirement:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering or its equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in a similar capacity (MRO environment is an added advantage)
  • Knowledge in tooling development phases, pre-design, final design, fabrication, modification and final buy off
  • Experience in tooling vendor and drawing management
  • Knowledge in CAD, 3D-CAD/CAM tool design of aero engine parts, calibration and technical drawing management experience
  • Knowledge in Management System Analysis (MSA) and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) requirements and applications
  • Experience in Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), Reverse Engineering & Rapid Prototyping
  • Experience in Minitab and AutoCAD software is a strong advantage

Responsibilities:

  • Support tooling development for NPI projects and Engineering / Production requests from design, fabrication to hand-over
  • Project Management of tooling fabrication in ASSB with external approved vendor
  • Produce engineering drawings for tools in CAD or similar format
  • Develop and maintain tool drawings control procedures and record of tooling list
  • Perform commissioning and acceptance of tools and equipment
  • Perform MSA as part of tooling acceptance
  • Perform FAI as part of new concept Special Servicing Equipment’s tool acceptance

Section Manager - Process Engineering

Status: Full Time

Requirement:

  • Minimum Degree in Aerospace/ Material Science/Mechanical/ Manufacturing Engineering or its equivalent
  • Minimum 8 yyears of working experience in Maintenance Repair and Overhaul within an aviation environment is an added advantage

Responsibilities:

  • Deputise Engineering Manager across any functions as required including the Shop Floor Management (SFM) meetings, Management Meetings, Customer Review, OEM discussion, Request for Quotation (RFQ) review, etc
  • Lead a team of engineers under his/ her section. This typically includes training to ensure that personnel are updated with latest methods, procedures and requirements; work allocation and problem resolution, as well as participating in decisions for recruitment and performance evaluation
  • Develop and implement new repair processes as per plan
  • Carry out continuous process improvement to improve quality, yield, cycle time and costs reduction
  • Verify and accountable for all engineering documentations released to the shop for accurate technical content, standardization of engineering documents and ensures that engineering documents are in accordance to approved technical data
  • Perform First Article Inspections (FAI), as required
  • Provide support to Production in improving effectiveness of production lines with regards to processes
  • Liaise with technical team to develop and modify tools as and when necessary to improve specific process
  • Conduct research on new technologies that will enable the Company to be market leaders in the industry
  • Provide technical guidance to Engineers under his/her care; and/or intra sections
  • Evaluate applicable changes from revised Original Engine Manufacturer (OEM) Manual and to incorporate it into internal ASSB work instruction e.g. Process Instructions, Special Instructions, etc, as necessary

Section Manager – Tool Design, Fabrication and Calibration

Status: Full Time

Team/Role: Zero Defects


Requirement:

  • Degree in Engineering, preferably in Aerospace/Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering with minimum of 8 years working experience in a calibration and/or tool design & fabrication field. A Master’s Degree will be an added advantage
  • Experience working in an aviation MRO is a strong advantage for this position
  • Prior leadership experience in leading a team is desired
  • Excellent knowledge of ISO17025 Calibration, Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) is essential for this role
  • Strong knowledge of measurement system, propagation of measurement uncertainty, interpretation of measurement requirements is essential for this role
  • Knowledge and practical experience in CMM Programming and Measurement will be advantageous for this role
  • Minimum Lean / 6-Sigma Green Belt Certification backed with actual project implementation using the DMAIC framework, evident of sound statistical knowledge and with a substantial cost saving achievement
  • Strong knowledge of tool design and fabrication life cycle is a strong advantage

Responsibilities:

CMM Program Engineer

Status: Full Time

Team/Role: Zero Defects


Requirement:

  •  Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering or its equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years working experience in CMM programming or tooling design & fabrication or process engineering. Knowledge and practical experience in CMM programming and Measurement in Mituitoyo and/or Zeiss systems
  • Experience with CMM programming software such as Mcosmos, PC-DMIS, Calypso, etc
  • Knowledge in 3D modelling CAD design, manufacturing and machining process of jigs & fixtures (CAD/CAM)
  • Knowledge in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) and Management System Analysis (MSA)
  • Good knowledge of Minitab and Autocad software

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain CMM programs for production, FAI, R&D and other applications.
  • Assist in creating accurate and repeatable CMM programs based on end-user’s requirements
  • Assist in validating CMM programs by conducting First Article Inspection (FAI) or applicable MSA studies and adjust the program as necessary to ensure accuracy
  • Upkeep and maintain currency of production used CMM program
  • Troubleshoot and resolve all technical issues relating to the machine and be the focal point representing ASSB to liaise with the vendor for all matters relating to the CMM
  • Prioritize and utilize of all production CMMs to cater for the various needs (measurement of “live” parts, program development for FAI, KVP and R&D activities initiated by Engineering)
  • Support Metrology Laboratory in CMM Programming, if required
  • Comply with and support Environmental, Health & Safety policies, rules and regulations at all times

Aero Apprentice

Status:

Team/Role:


Requirement:

  • SPM or Certificate or Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic, Welding, Quality and equivalent
  • Basic knowledge of measuring tools such as vernier caliper and equipment used in production and/or manufacturing
  • Experience working in an aviation MRO is a strong advantage for this position
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and Malay
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities:

  • Apprenticeship in maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) processes for aerospace components ie. airfoil blades and vanes under the guidance and supervision of an approval holder
  • Carry out routine tasks that involve consistent processes and adherence to standard procedure
  • Comply and support Environmental Health & Safety policies, rules and regulations

 Logistics – Incoming & Outgoing

  • Perform visual inspection to identify airfoil is within in-house capability, verify the documentation and confirm the quantity of the airfoil
  • Isolate and quarantine any rejected airfoil
  • Perform final inspection on repaired airfoil and verify documentation prior deliver to client

Chemical and Mechanical Cleaning:  

  • Perform chemical and mechanical cleaning process to remove surface contaminants, impurities and heavy dirt

Inspection:

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections:
    • Inspect pre-repaired component and determine the repair process in accordance with technical requirement (visual and dimension), customer request and etc
    • Inspect post-repaired component in accordance with technical requirement
    • Comply to established standards and specifications in routine tasks
    • Qualify as certifying staff to produce “Airworthiness Review Certificate (ARC)”

Non-Destructive Test (NDT)

  • Perform non-destructive testing on airfoil parts to evaluate defects or discontinuities as per respective  NDT method requirement
  • NDT methods selection lists:
    • Penetrant testing
    • Eddy current testing
    • Radiaography testing and
    • Ultrasonic testing

Welder

  • Perform TIG welding to restore the airfoil length using Nickel and/or Titanium alloys material

Grinding

  • Perform grinding operation before and after the welding process, ensuring surfaces are smooth, within tolerance limits, and meet required specifications

Machining

  • Perform repair processes using various machining equipment including shot peening, blasting, thermal spray, coating, milling, auto welding and etc

Heat Treatment

  • Execute heat treatment process to stress relief airfoil after the welding and coating process
